SMART Mobility 2014

Mobility is defined as the synergy of infrastructure and transformational systems. Both have to face growing challenges: Urban infrastructures are facing environmental pollution and traffic congestion. Additionally, production and maintenance of vehicles is getting more and more complex. Information involved in the product development process is becoming progressively unmanageable. A growing number of vehicle types leads to increased complexity. Information management and product lifecycle management (PLM) are among the greatest challenges.

The SMART Mobility i-Praxis Track at I-KNOW 2014 unites participants from enterprises with researchers both dealing with rail or road vehicle development respectively exploiting cellular and other data for traffic incident management which are meaningful to the mobile society, for scientific and economic reasons, like marketing, security or transportation.
